Over the last couple of months we’ve been talking about our goal of releasing an episode weekly - and we’re getting closer. This is the first of a two part episode on Student Life and Applied Learning.  In this episode, we’ll hear from students.  Check your podcast feed mid-month as we’ll be releasing the second conversation on applied learning in the middle of the month.

On today’s episode, we’re going to be talking about Student Life through the eyes of Student Government Association Presidents here at Ivy Tech. Our Student Government Association (SGA) is the official voice of the student body. Members are exposed to various experiential learning opportunities, from budgeting and interpreting constitutions to leader retreats and social networking.

Today, we’re going to hear from a panel of SGA Presidents who serve on the SGA Presidents’ Council.  On today’s panel are:

  • Wendy Ndichu, Lafayette
  • Ella Hill, Lake County
  • Brandi Farmer, Richmond
  • Kat Stremiecki is the Advisor to the SGA Presidents’ Council. You can connect with Kat on Twitter @KatStrem.

Call To Action

In each episode, we’re going to ask you to engage in a call to action.  We’d love for you to share your perspectives on the importance of Student Government with us.  We might even share your story on a future episode.

If you have question or comments about that episode - or any episode, we’d love to hear them. As always we’ll share our contact information at the end of the episode.  You can always check out our website at
